Hello!
You thought I forgot about you didn’t you? Well, you were right. But in my
defense…..I’m forgetful! So you should remember that next time before you jump at my throat like this! I said I was going on vacation and apparently that
meant no blog entries for weeks. Vaca ended a while back and I’m trying to get
back into daily life but it gets harder and harder after each bit of time off I
get. I’m sure by the time I’m eligible to retire; I won’t even be able to show
up to process whatever I need to process!
So where to
start? What’s been going on the last few weeks? I got to see the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Measure for Measure and Avenue Q. Let me tell you, what a
goooood time! Next up I have Hamlet and
Twelfth Night. Once I’ve seen those,
I’ll be done with Shakespeare until next year’s Bard on the Beach. I’ve
decided 100% to see as many plays, musicals and operas as I can while I can! I
love the performing arts and I’ve wanted to do this for so long, so I’m taking
advantage of being in a position that allows me to enjoy them! YAY

I’ve also
purchased a bike so I can start riding to and from work after thinking about
how so many people in worse shape than I am in have started something and kept
it up! Why can’t I get myself to that point too? I can, I just need to start
somewhere. We will see how it goes though, I’ve had it for a day already and
haven’t even taken the tags off….eeeep. I CAN DO IT! YES I CAN! That will be my
affirmation. I CAN DO IT! YES I CAN! Ok, enough of that for now. It also helps
to have people around that have gotten their life together and found the right
activity that works for them, they help inspire even if they don’t know it.
Last week was
PRIDE week in Vancouver and it was a good time as always! I didn’t hit up too
many things, but did make it to the parade because I didn’t want to miss that!
I had a couple of friends stay with me (after they drove from Regina…can you
blame them for wanting to come here to celebrate) they enjoyed themselves, or
at least they said they did, and it was nice to know this city makes people
feel welcome! As always there were interesting things to see, fun times to be
had and lots of us gay people…you know “happy” people ;) hehe I can seriously be so punny sometimes!
Ahh I think
that’s plenty to start us talking again. I hope you’re having a wonderful
season! I’ll blog soon and it will be great :D

Way to go on the bike purchase Loida!! You can do it! I know you can!
