So here we are again,
another attempt to blog. I don’t really know why I’m trying since there are a
ridiculous amount of blogs! Some are super helpful, some funny, some
intelligent, some inspiring and so many that just shouldn’t exist….eek make me
cringe! In spite of those terrible ones, it does seem to be a good outlet for
the good stuff. I’m not sure what kind this will turn out to be or if it will
even have another entry that isn’t two years later, but why not give it a try
right?
I've
been living in BC for two and a half years now and I am so proud of myself for
taking that giant step back then. The first year was pretty rough with the job
hunt for the right one and not-so-great living situation but I made it through
and am in a much better place figuratively and physically. I have found a
job that I'm happy with and I can see turning into a great career (unless my
dream somehow ever comes to be.) I'm treated well here and the people are even
better, I've had some horrendous management in the recent past so this is a
welcome change and it makes me seriously appreciate the people here that much
more! I'm on a fabulous team and everyone is so helpful and open.
Speaking of awesome people, I
truly miss my wonderful friends back in Ontario but I've also made a few
amazing friends here as well. I haven't really tried to meet people as my mind
thinks "ugh I'm too old to try" but even with that attitude I have
people in my life that I hope I never go without! I want to make a shout out to
Kori, Alen and baby Nia as they have been more than amazing to me, they have
embraced me into their family as if I am a long lost sister and I am incredibly
grateful. They don't understand how much it means to me to have them in my life
and how much I love them! Also want to say "thank you and I love you"
to Josue, Sean, Ben, Terry, Karon and Jennelle for being so great and helping
me out when I needed it!
Ok, enough of the individual mentions or else this
will go one forever! Thanks for taking the time to read this, it's not much but
I had to start with something. Feel free to comment and let me know what you
would like me to blog about. Those who know me, use that and give me ideas,
those that don't throw things out there and maybe this will turn into the most
fun blog ever! hahaha yeah....doubt that!
Happy blogging everyone!
Loida

You were very brave to make such a big life changing move and I am so happy that it brought you to this team! I would love to hear more about your singing and also what you think of the Born to Run book when you read it!
